The Mental Health Commission of Canada is seeking to recruit two new Board Members.
These appointments represent an opportunity to contribute to one of Canada’s most
important national organizations advancing mental health for all.
The MHCC is currently seeking candidates for two distinct roles:
Youth Director - A youth leader who has a deep connection to the Commission’s mission
and brings direct work or lived experience in mental health. As one of the Board’s two
designated youth members, this individual will provide an important perspective at the
Board table, helping ensure that youth voices and experiences inform the organization’s
national work.
Business & Technology Leader - MHCC is also seeking a seasoned business leader with a
strong foundation in technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, business development,
and corporate governance. This director will bring valuable, board and executive level (CEO,
EVP, SVP) insight into the evolving digital landscape and marketplace and help guide MHCC
as it continues to innovate and expand its impact.
These roles offer a meaningful opportunity for individuals who care deeply about the mental
health of all people living in Canada and wish to contribute to national dialogue, support
innovation and best practices, reduce stigma, and increase mental health literacy and action
across the country.
For this round of recruitment, MHCC is particularly interested in strengthening regional
representation from Northern Canada, the Prairies, and Western Canada. The Commission
also welcomes expressions of interest from Métis and Inuit leaders and professionals as well
as exceptional leaders from within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who are interested in
contributing their expertise to the Board’s work.
